Prophecies - Store House
The following is a prophecy received during the Cumbrian Week of Prayer & Fasting in October 2006
God gave me a picture of an enormous barn.  It was dark inside and had several sacks of grain, some of them leaning against one another around the edges.  The scene seems quite dismal, especially as water has been leaking through the roof for years, dripping onto the sacks.  Now suddenly, the grain that has been swelling rips open the sackcloth and pours out onto the barn floor.  But it doesn’t stop, it just keeps flowing out, meeting in the centre of the barn floor, piling higher and higher.  High up on the walls of the barn are windows and soon the barn is full to this level and then flows out of the windows like a waterfall to the ground outside.  People come from afar around, laughing and scooping up the grain shouting, “Where did all this come from?”  And, “The place of famine has become a storehouse!”  They bring barrows to fill and cart the grain away to far flung places.
God showed me that the sacks are the churches, the barn is our region.  He wants to prepare us for what he is going to do.  Already people are experiencing “Growing Pains” and this means different things to different people.  For some it’s the pain of years gone where there has been little growth for maximum work.  For others it’s the sudden realisation that the growth they have longed for is bringing unpleasant change for them and the people they love; it’s the pain of loss.  God wants to say to us, “Open your eyes, put your two hands in mine and I will support you and lead you as you walk through the doorway into the next phase of your life.  It may be painful but I will not let you stumble or fall.  Am I a God who keeps things secret from his people?  No!  I will tell you what I am going to do so that you will know your growing pins are for a purpose and you can rejoice even through the pain.  The rain through the roof of the barn has been the steady dripping of the Holy Spirit into churches over the years, apparently not achieving much until the sudden swelling of the grain.  The tearing of the sacks is the tearing apart of people who have faithfully served in the churches for years, sometimes through great hardship and now there is a pain of separation by time and distance as they are sent out.  Cumbria will become a storehouse, filled to overflowing.  Prophetic words into individuals will be fulfilled, lives changed for His glory, people fed, dreams become reality, calling will be answered, gifting employed, destinies achieved, oceans crossed, prisoners set free, lives healed and the earth filled with the knowledge and love of God.
